“Sing and Sip” aka “Tea and Talk” Sea Chantey Singalong

Come join Dave Hirzel and Alice Cochran for an hour of traditional sea music.  Sea Chanteys (work songs) and Forebitters (sailors’ entertainment) from the great age of sail 1880-1910.  This won’t be a performance, it will be a singalong. For every verse (which we’ll be singing ) there’s a chorus (which you’ll join in on).  Don’t be shy.  You don’t need a good singing voice, just a desire to have some old-fashioned fun.  The more voices–trained or not–the better!

If you have a sea song you’d like to sing yourself, bring it along.  Refreshments included: Tea, Grog, Crackerhash ( you’ll have to come to find out more about what these are)
